Role Description
The “Techno Functional Lead: Payment Switch” will oversee the technical and functional aspects of our payment switch system. The prospect requires a strong understanding of both technology and business requirements to ensure seamless transaction processing, system optimization, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for product engineering to align with business and technical requirements in a cloud-native ecosystem.
- Provide technical direction and leadership for the switch domain, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive enhancements and innovations.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of switch features and functionalities, ensuring they align with business requirements, technical standards, and protocols.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements, translating them into functional specifications and technical design documents.
- Design end-to-end solutions for the payment switch system, considering factors such as scalability, reliability, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage integrations with third-party systems and partners, ensuring seamless interoperability and data exchange.
- Oversee the testing and quality assurance processes for the payment switch system, ensuring transactions are processed accurately, securely, and efficiently.
- Ensure that the payment switch system complies with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies, proactively identifying and addressing potential risks.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the payment switch system’s performance, conducting regular reviews and optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, software development, operations, and customer support, to drive the successful delivery and support of switch-related products and services.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology.
- 12+years of proven experience in a similar role within the fintech or banking industry, with a focus on payment switch systems and technology.
- Experience in cloud-native development and agile engineering practices.
- High levels of proficiency in Java-based software development.
- Strong technical knowledge in micro-services.
- Strong understanding of payment processing, network protocols, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 8583, ISO 20022, OFS, XML, Web Services-SOAP XML and JSON REST, EMV – Europay, Mastercard, and Visa)
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving technical solution development initiatives.
